Shindorf-Dilley, 85, of Belding, passed away Wednesday morning, April 5, 2006, under the loving care of her family and Hospice at home. The daughter of John W. and Olive Anna Benedict Hansen, she was born on Aug. 20, 1920, in Greenville. For 20 years she worked at Jolly Kids in Belding, then at Extruded Metals, and retired from the former Gibson Refrigerator Co. She enjoyed handicrafts and spending the winters in Hudson , Fla. Bunny was a member of the Travel Club of the Midwest and the Snowdrifter’s Snowmobile Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, John Shindorf, two husbands, Arnold Shindorf on Jan. 16, 1970, and Alfred Dilley on Jan. 7, 1995. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Trudy and Tony Warner of Belding, Geraldine and Robert Bradley of Florida, Carole and Jerold Fassett of Wyoming; three stepchildren and their families, Ronald and Fern Dilley of Lansing, Andrew and Betty Hudson of Mason, Martha Dilley of Seminole, Fla.; former son-in-law, David Cowles of Belding; siblings-in-law, Sally Holbrook, Jack and Beverly Hessler, all of Belding, Madeline Kahley of Arizona, Charles and Betty Rutz, Henry and Treva Shindorf, all of Ionia, Bernard and Hilda Shindorf of Sheridan, Ann Shindorf of Pewamo; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be at a later date. Final interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Belding. Instead of flowers, Katherine would have appreciated contributions in her memory to either St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ionia Area Hospice, American Cancer Society or American Heart Association The Brown-Teman & Christiansen Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family and was entrusted with the arrangements.
