Belding- Jerome Paul Shindorf, 51, of Belding, passed away Wednesday morning, 
Aug. 28, 2013, at Spectrum Health Continuing Care in Grand Rapids. Jerome was 
born on Oct. 22, 1961, in Greenville, the son of Joseph and Mary Maxine 
(Banhagel) Shindorf.

He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Belding where he 
served as an alter boy and other church activities. He enjoyed painting, 
creating hook rugs, traveling, bowling, and was active for many years in 
Special Olympics. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be 
greatly missed.

Jerome is loved and survived by his father, Joseph of Belding; his brothers and 
sisters, Albert (Ann) Shindorf of Charlevoix, Mary (Bob) Rasmussen of Grand 
Rapids, JoAnn (Phil) Bryant of Sault Ste. Marie, Charles (Betty Jo) Shindorf of 
Houghton Lake, Melinda (Keith) Krick of Buckhannon, W. Va., Tim (Cindy) 
Shindorf of Spring Lake; 12 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and nephews, 
along with his special caregivers that Jerome has had throughout the years and 
his many friends in Belding.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 
Belding with Fr. Darrel Kempf presiding.

Committal prayers will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary prayer at 7:30 
p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.

Memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics or Spectrum Hospice.
