Jerome Paul Shindorf, 51, of Belding, passed away Wednesday morning, Aug. 28, 
2013 at Spectrum Health Continuing Care in Grand Rapids. Jerome was born on 
Oct. 22, 1961 in Greenville, the son of Joseph and Mary Maxine (Banhagel) 
Shindorf.

He was a long time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Belding where he 
served as an altar boy and other church activities. He enjoyed painting, 
creating hooked rugs, traveling, bowling and was active for many years in 
Special Olympics. He loved spending time with family and friends and will be 
greatly missed.

Jerome is loved and survived by his father, Joseph of Belding; his brothers and 
sisters, Albert (Ann) Shindorf of Charlevoix, Mary (Bob) Rasmussen of Grand 
Rapids, JoAnn (Phil) Bryant of Sault Sainte Marie, Charles (Betty Jo) Shindorf 
of Houghton Lake, Melinda (Keith) Krick of Buckhannon, W.V., Tim (Cindy) 
Shindorf of Spring Lake; 12 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews; 
along with his special caregivers that Jerome has had throughout the years and 
his many friends in Belding.

He was preceded in death by his mother. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church 
Belding with Fr. Darrel Kempf presiding. Committal prayers will follow in St. 
Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary 
prayed at 7:30 p.m. at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.

Memorial contributions may be given to Special Olympics or Spectrum Hospice.
