Born in Otisco township to George and Lillian Shindorf, both now deceased, Mr. Shindorf lived in Grand Rapids the past 20 years, prior to that he resided in the Belding area. Mr. Shindorf was a WWI veteran and was a member of the Belding American Legion, Hugo Fales Post. He is survived by his wife, Crescentia; eight daughters, Mrs. William Fayette, Mrs. Lester Bradley, Mrs. Louis Schneider, Mrs. Ted Lewandoski, Mrs. Lloyd Roskamp, Mrs. Robert Mason, Mrs. Gerald Cook, Sr. Mary LaVerne, O.P.; two sons, LaVern and Harold; three brothers, Leo, Peter and Louis of the Belding area; 25 grandchildren. Mr. Shindorf reposes at the Arsulowicz funeral home until Friday morning when he will be brought to the Huffman Funeral Home where rosary will be recited Friday evening at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic church, Belding, with the Rev. Fr. C.E. Steves officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
