At eleven years he came to Sebewa township with his parent and lived here until 1902 when he sold his farm and went into business at Sunfield, later at Coral, where he was married to Flora B.Hoover in 1905. There are seven children, a wife and four sisters left to mourn the departure of a very loving father, husband and brother. He was ill since last September with a serious heart trouble, the worry of his poor health and inability to care for his family so taxed his already failing strength that mental trouble set in, making it necessary on April 1, to send him to the state Hospital at Traverse city, where he passed away May 31, 1920, aged 59 years, six months, 10 days. Funeral services held at Lake Odessa, on Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. Abram H.Lash of the Cong'l church. Interment at Lakeside.
