           FRED SHIRE PASSED AWAY WEDNESDAY MORNING
                                    --------------
   Fred Shire, 61, who has been an invalid for several years, passed away Wednesday
morning at his farm 
home in northeast Odessa township where he has lived all his life.  The funeral will
be held Friday at 2 at the 
Wortley & Baine chapel. Surviving are his widow and a daughter Mrs. Esten Geiger and
two sisters Miss Cora 
Shire, Lake Odessa, and Mrs. Myrtie Wingar at Grand Ledge.
