July 19, 1924 Pewamo Woman is Victim of Apoplexy at St. Louis PEWAMO- July 19 - Miss Emma Shoemaker, age 71, a lifelong resident of Pewamo, died at the St. Louis sanitarium Friday at 3 o'clock of apoplexy, where she had gone to receive treatment for Rheumatism Miss Shoemaker was born in 1853 and lived for years on the farm just outside of Pewamo with her sister, Miss Florence Shoemaker, and two brothers, James and John. These three and a sister, Mrs. Harriet Dunn, of Evart, survive. Another brother, Thomas, died a few years ago. The funeral will be held from the farm home Tuesday at 2 o'clock sun time. Rev. Mather, of Lyons, will have charge of the service.
