DONAL A. SHOEMAKEER
Donal A. Shoemaker, 76, of Lake Odessa, went to be with his Lord on Monday 
evening, March 13, 2000.

He and his wife, Mary, were long-time dairy farmers in the Lake Odessa area 
and raised registered Holsteins. Don served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, 
was a member of the VFW, and was an active member of the Central United 
Methodist Church of Lake Odessa.

He is survived by Mary, his wife of 52 years; his son Ronald and Kathleen 
Shoemaker of Mt. Pleasant; his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Jason Embrey and 
Gina (Fiancee Chris Rennie) Shoemaker; his brothers and sisters, Norma and 
Thomas O'Mara, Dale and Eileen Shoemaker, Lorraine and Wendall Scheidt, 
Barbara and Merl Ockerman, Marlene and Robert McKinney; his sister-in-law, 
Elaine Shoemaker; numerous nieces, nephews and, many close friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arnold; and his 
sister, Madellon.

Visitation will be today, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. at Koops Funeral 
chapel. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Central United Methodist Church or the 
donor's favorite charity.
