March 15, 2000 DONAL A. SHOEMAKEER Donal A. Shoemaker, 76, of Lake Odessa, went to be with his Lord on Monday evening, March 13, 2000. He and his wife, Mary, were long-time dairy farmers in the Lake Odessa area and raised registered Holsteins. Don served in the U.S. Navy during WW II, was a member of the VFW, and was an active member of the Central United Methodist Church of Lake Odessa. He is survived by Mary, his wife of 52 years; his son Ronald and Kathleen Shoemaker of Mt. Pleasant; his granddaughters, Elizabeth and Jason Embrey and Gina (Fiancee Chris Rennie) Shoemaker; his brothers and sisters, Norma and Thomas O'Mara, Dale and Eileen Shoemaker, Lorraine and Wendall Scheidt, Barbara and Merl Ockerman, Marlene and Robert McKinney; his sister-in-law, Elaine Shoemaker; numerous nieces, nephews and, many close friends. Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arnold; and his sister, Madellon. Visitation will be today, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 pm. at Koops Funeral chapel. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Central United Methodist Church or the donor's favorite charity.
