Married Thomas Shoemaker December 5, 1958 in Pewamo, celebrating 55 years of marriage. Doris enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening and flowers. Surviving is her son, Duane shoemaker of Pewamo daughter, Lisa (Ted) Black of DeWitt; Grandchildren, Audrey (Harry) Gross & Levi Black; great-grandchildren, Beau Michael Gross & Trenton Maverick Gross, sisters,Irene (Dale)Borton & Helen (Harvey) Waldron. Preceded in death by her parents; husband Thomas; siblings,Howard Taylor,Mickey Taylor, Elizabeth Baker, Dallas Taylor,Abby Holberg, Pauline Smith & Ruth Heald. Funeral services for Doris will be held at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia on Saturday,March 9, 2024. Visitation will be held 2 hours (12-2) prior to services.
