DONALD SHOEN 1927-2017
Donald Frederick Shoen, age 90 of Lyons, MI passed away Aug. 16, 2017. He was 
born Feb. 20, 1927 in Ionia township, MI, the son of Cifford C. and Mary S. 
(Yeagar) Shoen.

Don  attended Lyons-Muir schools, He married Dorothy while he served in the 
Army as a Medic during World War II and Korean wars. He was a member of the 
Lyons VFW post 4646, American Legion in Hubbardston, Patriots Circle, Gold 
circle and Ionia Moose Lodge.

Don is survived by his Daughter, Teri R. Shoen of Ionia; Cousins, Doris Comer 
of Dewitt and Dawn Twitchell of Arizona; Sister-in-law, Joyce Cummings of 
Sand Lake; Special Friends, Sean Shiels of Muir and Brent and Linda Newman of 
Lansing; Also, many nieces and nephews.

He in preceded in death by his parents' wife, Dorothy, brothers, Ford, 
Clinton and Donald; Sisters, Hazel, Gladys, Helen and Dora.

A Celebration of life with military honors will be held on Aug. 31 at 1 p.m. 
at the Ionia Moose Lodge. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to 
Hospice of Grand Rapids, Hope Lodge in Grand Rapids or Ionia Moose Lodge. 
Arrangements were made by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Online condolences may
