IONIA- Ray W. Shook, 81, of Ionia, died Sept. 20, at the Ionia County Memorial 
Hospital.

He was born Oct. 13, 1907 in Ionia, the son of Almer and Ida (Houghton) Shook.

He graduated from Ionia High School. He was a truck driver and later became a 
farmer. He was a member of the West Berlin Wesleyan Church. He was the chairman 
of the Balcom Cemetery Association and the past secretary of Coon School.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Linda) Jefferies of 
Marion, Ind.; one son, Lynn Shook of Ionia; two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday from the Cook Funeral Home 
in Ionia, the Rev. Gordon Iocco officiating. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Rich 
Street Chapel

Memorial contributions to the West Berlin Wesleyan Church Building Fund.
