Shook, 64, died at his home in Orange township Tuesday evening, October 5, following an illness of two years. He was born in Lockport, New York, June 2, 1873, the son of Alexander T. and Mary E. Shook. In March, 1903 he married Ida Houghton who survives him. He has lived in Orange township since 1882 and attended the Kilmartin school. Survivors are his wife, Ida, one son, Roy of Orange; a sister, Mrs. Earl Holcomb of Ionia township, and a brother, John Shook of Orange. Funeral services will be held at the home Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock with Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiating. Burial will be at the family lot at Balcom cemetery.
