PORTLAND- Roy D. Shook, 69, 2717 Portland Rd., died august 22 in Portland.

He was born August 2, 1909 in Danby township, the son of Warren Shook and 
Velmie Eddy.

Mr. Shook was an active farmer and a member of Farm Bureau.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; one step-son, Donald Ward of St. Johns; 
two step-daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Courter of Lansing and Mrs. Barbara Thelen 
of Fowler;  one sister, Frances Shook of Grosse Pointe and sis step-
grandchildren.

Services are Friday at 1:30 pm from the Neller funeral home with Rev. Ronald 
Lahr officiating.

Burial is in Portland cemetery.
