Daily Sentinel - Friday, Feb. 15, 1918

Edwin C. Short, an Ionia resident for many years, died Feb. 9 at his home near 
Evart, where he had lived since 1912. He was formerly employed here by the Pere 
Marquette railway company, and the Ionia Gas company. He leaves two brothers, 
J.C. Short of San Antonio, Texas and J.E. Short of Jackson, and a sister, Mrs. 
Wm. Metz of Evart.
