Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. May 14, 1953

MRS. LAURA SHORT, FORMER RESIDENT, DIED SATURDAY
Mrs. Laura short, 81, passed away Saturday night at he home of her daughter Thelma
in Lansing, after a long illness.

A former resident of this area, she has lived with her daughter for eight years.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Tasker of Lake Odessa and Miss Thelma Short
of Lansing; two sons, Terrance of Lansing, and Richard of Mansfield, O., one
granddaughter; one sister, Mrs.Phoebe Mote of Hastings and two brothers, Alga and Henry 
of lake Odessa.

Her husband Frank passed away in 1944.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 at the Pickens funeral chapel with burial in
Lakeside cemetery. Rev.Jesse Tischer of Lansing officiated.
