Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, Aug. 17, 1967

Mrs. Velma Short, 87, died on Thursday morning at a nursing home in Belding 
where she had been a patient the past two years.

Prior to her stay in the nursing home she had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. 
C.B. Morrall at 625 West Lincoln since 1955.

She was born February 20, 1880 in Clayton, Lenawee county.

A retired teacher, she taught 22 years in Lenawee county.

She attended First Methodist church and was a member of Happiness Rebecca lodge 
in Onsted.

One half-brother and a half-sister in Ohio are her only survivors.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 am from Boynton funeral home with Rev. 
Robert McComb officiating. Interment will be at 3 pm in Onsted cemetery.
