     Excerpts from Lansing Obituary
 
             FRANK H. SHORTZ

Died Sunday March 19, 2023-age 82 of Portland.
Born March 19, 1941 in Lake Odessa, son of Otto"Dale" & Maxine (Austin) Shortz.
Frank retired from General Motors after 35 years of service.
Frank could fix anything & was always up for helping family & building projects.
He enjoyed hunting, camping,& going to Silver Lake sand dunes with his buggy.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda (Chapman) Shortz; children, Michelle 
(Marc)Wood & Michael (Sonia) Shortz; two grandchildren, Ashley Shortz & Cameron 
(Aimee) Shortz;&brothers, Gary (Nancy) Shortz & Marvin Shortz.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 am,Friday March 24, 2023 at Lehman Funeral 
Home,E. Bridge St., Portland.
Rev. Dr. Marilyn V.Danielson officiating.
Visitation Thursday evening 6 to 8 PM at funeral chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society in honor 
of Frank.
