Stewart Thursday forenoon, after which the remains were taken to Danby cemetery for burial. Deceased was 76 years of age and his death was caused by heart disease. Mr. Shove was a former resident of Danby and occupied the farm now owned and occupied by David Spalding, but the family removed to a farm near Six Lakes, Montcalm county, several years ago. While the family was living in Danby a curious accident happened to Mrs. Shove which came near resulting fatally and which has caused her much pain and annoyance and disfigured her for life. She was washing out of doors and had been stooping over a washtub and just as she straightened up a stray bullet from a gun struck her in the eye, destroying the sight and entering the head. The ball was never recovered. Some legal action was taken regarding the matter, so The Observer is informed, but it was never known for certain who fired the gun from which the ball came and no damages were ever collected. Mr. Shove was a hard working, honest man and was highly respected where known.
