Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 20 Apr 1953

Sandra Sue Showers, 9, of 122 South Jefferson street died Sunday, April 19, at 1
p.m. at Blodgett Memorial hospital.  She was taken ill Saturday morning and was
taken to the hospital about 10 p.m., Saturday.  The daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Showers, she was born Jan.24, 1944, in Pontiac.  She was a third grade
student at Jefferson school and was a member of Brownie troop No. 9.

Private funeral services for the family only will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the
Myers funeral home by the Rev. Eric Cash, pastor of St. John Lutheran church. 
Interment will be in Easton cemetery.

Surviving besides the parents are two brothers, Norman and Harry, Jr.; two
sisters, Janet and April; a grandmother, Mrs. Maggie Showers, of Ionia; and a
grandfather August Knickrehm, of Ionia.
