Mrs. Elgie E. Shroll, 76, of Lake Odessa died Wednesday morning at Pennock
hospital in Hastings where she had been a patient three weeks.  Born in McBride
June 13, 1895, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Carrie Burns Walter and had
been a resident of Lake Odessa since she was a year old.

June 13, 1912, she was married to Harold Curtis of Lake Odessa who died June of
1952.  She was then married to Wallace Shroll of Greenville May 20, 1958.  She
was a member of Central United Methodist church of Lake Odessa and also the
Friendship club and Lake Odessa Community Farm Bureau.

Surviving besides the husband, Wallace are two daughters, Mrs. Warren Klein and
Mrs. Frank Stanger, both of Lake Odessa; brother, Clifford Walter of Lake
Odessa; a stepson, W. Donovan Shroll of Greenville; 11 grandchildren; four great
grandchildren; two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in lake
Odessa.  Rev. Marvin immerman [Transcriber's Note:  This name is typed as it was
printed in the obituary.] will officiate and interment will be at Lakeside
cemetery.  A memorial has been established for Ionia County Cancer society.
