The Portland Observer, Wednesday, April 18, 1883
Saturday, April 14, 1883, William Shuert, aged about 86 years.  Funeral 
services were held at the Universalist church yesterday afternoon, Rev. H. W. 
Smith officiating.  The remains were taken to Grand Ledge for interment 
immediately after the services at the church.
