                                 MARILYN SHUMAKER

Miss Marilyn Shumaker, 4, of 6265 Vinton road, Comstock Park;, Grand Rapids, 
died Thursday afternoon, June 21 at 4 o'clock. She had been on a picnic with her 
parents and brother and lost her life in Long Lake near Sparta, where she had 
been swimming, She was taken to Butterworth Hospital.

Born February 2, 1952 in Grand Rapids, she was the  daughter of Mr.and Mrs. Dick 
Shumaker, Mrs. Shumaker is the former Jean Hinds of Ionia.

Surviving are her parents, one brother R.Dean and one sister, Gail Lynn of Grand 
Rapids her grandparents, Mr and Mrs Hazen Hinds of route one, Ionia; Mrs.Anna 
Shumaker of Bay City and George Shumaker of Pontiac.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Meyers 
funeral home with the Rev. Horward Smith of Albion officiating.Interment will be 
in Balcom Cemetery.
