SHUMWAY Very Prominent In Church Work; Member of Same Parish Over 50 Years Funeral services for Ms. Henrietta Shumway widow of the late David H. Shumway were held Wednesday morning at the Methodist Church at Pewamo of which she had been a member for more than 50 years. Rev. Alfred Halstead officiated and the services and the Sabin sisters furnished the music. Mrs. Shumway as well as her husband before his death in 1923 were well known as an earnest church worker and after the fire which destroyed the church in Pewamo a number of years ago the couple were the foremost movers in the campaign carried on for the rebuilding of the edifice. Memorial windows for her parents as well as for both her husband and herself are in the church. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. John Pennington, East Lansing; Wesley B. Shumway, Tiffin, Ohio; Marsh Shumway, Lyons; Earl Shumway, of Winegar; and Floyd Shumway of Butler. There are also several grandchildren.
