           SERVICS FOR HASTINGS WOMAN
   Mrs. Theresa D. Shumway, 60 of 4785 Barber Road, Hastings, died early Sunday
morning, April 23, 1978, at 
the home of her daughter in Miami, Oklahoma.
   Mrs. Shumway was born March 18, 1918 inf Grand Rapids and was the daughter of
Ransom and Mitilda 
(Newmeg) Peevy.  She was a 1936 graduate of South High School in Grand Rapids and
married Roy Shumway 
on November 27, 1936 in Lake Odessa.
   Theresa D. Shumway is survived by her husband, Roy; four daughters, Mrs. Richard
(Patricia) Platt of Miami, 
Oklahoma, Mrs. Lloyd (Bonnie) Clink of Clark Lake Michigan, Mrs. Lester (Lois)
Jackson of Lake Odessa, and 
Mrs. George (Kathy) Barrie, of Allegan; one brother Chester Peevy of Wyoming; one
step-brother, Harold 
Fonger of Grand Rapids; and eleven grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held today, (Thursday) April 27, 1978, at 1: p.m. from
the Pickens-Koops Funeral 
Chapel with Rev. Elwood Norton officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to
the Michigan Heart and 
Lung Association.
