Lake O Wave - Thurs. Dec. 29, 1955

Verne Schupp, 70, lifelong resident of this area passed away Christmas Day at 
Pennock Hospital, where he was admitted Saturday afternoon.

Following his marriage to Ada Hansbarger in 1923 they owned and operated the 
restaurant for many years and after selling the business Verne was employed by 
the Lake Odessa Canning Company for several years, retiring about a year ago 
because of ill health.

Surviving besides his wife are three step children, Mrs. Dorothy Doty and 
Nelson Hansbarger and Owen Mumaw of Greenville; three sisters, Mrs. Roy (Edna) 
Winey, Mrs. Lloyd ( Alice) Haskins and Mrs. Willard (Pearl) Carter; two 
brothers Elta and Chancey all of Lake Odessa. 

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with 
burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. Paul Robinson officiated.
