Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday March 8, 1962

Chancy Shupp 80, Died Last Thursday
Chancy Shupp, 80, retired farmer, route 2, passed away Thursday afternoon at the 
Osteopathic hospital, Grand Rapids after a short illness. He had spent his 
entire life in the local area and for many years had lived on the farm, north of 
town. His parent were Thomas and Nancy Shupp.

Surviving are three sisters Mrs Roy (Edna) Winey, Mrs Lloyd (Alice) Haskins, and 
Mrs Willard (Pearl) Carter; a brother Elta with whom he lived, nieces and 
nephews, all of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel 
with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
