The Ionia Sentinel, Friday, July 20, 1877

Miss Phebe Shuster, formerly of Ionia, but for the past year a resident of 
this place, died very suddenly in a congestive chill, Sunday evening, July 
15th.  She had been sick for several days, but her disease was not considered 
dangerous and her death was quite unexpected.  Miss Shuster was much esteemed 
by those who had formed her acquaintance, and her sudden death is greatly 
lamented.

Miss Phebe Shuster, who has been living at Belding for some time, died in that 
village very suddenly on Sunday.  Her remains were brought to this city for 
interment, the funeral taking place on Tuesday.
