The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, April 2006
Nelson Stewart Shutes, 85, of Beulah, former band director of Ionia Schools, 
died Tuesday, April 25, 2006, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He 
was born December 8, 1920, in Lansing, the son of Stewart and Veronica Shutes.

Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.  The 
Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah, is in charge of arrangements.
