                              Richard G. Sible

Richard G. Sible, 81, of Ionia/Lake Odessa, went to be in the arms of his Lord 
on Sunday evening, Sept. 19, 2010.

Dick was born inIonia County on July 25, 1929 to Glenn and Pearl (Coe) Sible. He 
was united in marriage to Betty Gooding on Dec.9, 1949. Together Dick and Betty 
had farmed in the area for many years.Dick had attended and was an elder at the 
First Christian Church in Ionia.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gordon; and all of his eight brothers and 
sisters.

Dick is survived by Betty, his loving wife of 61 years his daughter, Gail 
(Keith) Simmons, son, Jerry Sible, daughter, Judy Gloden; daughter-in-law, Teri 
(Jeff) Livermore; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

Dick enjoyed their winter home in Florida; flying his airplane; and fishing with 
family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept.21 at the Koops 
Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa; and from 3 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept.22 at 
Saranac Community Church. Funeral Will be immediately following the visitation 
at 4 p.m. at Saranac Community Church. Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery, Ionia.

In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions may be 
made to Zion Food Pantry in Ionia, Mel Trotter Ministries in Grand Rapids, or 
the Lakewood FFA.

"A special thank you goes out to all our caregivers; Sally, Kim, Diane, Pam, 
Jodi, Wanda, and especially Teresa and Liz."
