Sibley, 68, of Ionia, Mich., died in Panama City Beach, Fla., on Feb. 6, 2014. He is survived by his sisters Kathy Akers of Phoenix, Ariz., Martha Jajuga of Mount Pleasant, Mich., Susan Chase of Aurora, Colo., his step-son Jeff Schultz of Pulaski ,Tenn., as well as four nephews and three nieces. Andy was born in Whittier, Calif., son of Alexander W. Sibley and Ellen G. Sibley, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Ionia High School in the class of 1964, and soon after enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp., serving his country in Vietnam. Andy was passionate about University of Michigan football all of his life. He also had a great love of his family heritage, and roaming his property west of Ionia in his "Gator." He enjoyed beach life during the winter months and swam in the Gulf daily with his dog Bubba, no matter how cold the water.
