Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Sept. 7, 1965

SARANAC- Charles C. Signs, Sr., 85, died September 6, at Ionia County memorial 
Hospital where he had been a patient two weeks. He was born in Odessa Township, 
December 7, 1880.

Mr. Signs was a former school teacher and taught in Benedict and Prairie Creek 
schools.

He was a charter member of Berlin Farm Bureau and member of Berlin Center 
church.

Mrs. Signs died January 30, 1965.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Charles McDonald of Ionia and Mrs. Frederick 
Burkle lf Hastings; three sons, Elton Signs of Hastings, Dr. Norris Signs of 
Frankfort, Ind., and Charles Signs, Jr., of Williamston; and eight 
grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Morris funeral home with the 
Rev. Earle J. Stine officiating and interment in Saranac cemetery.
