Mr. and Mrs. Glen Silcox of Freeport came to this city a few weeks ago for a short visit at the home of the latter’s mother, Mrs. Mary Shipman of this place, and brought with them their little baby Harlan, aged five months. Shortly after their arrival the little one was taken sick with cholera infantum and in spite of all that loving hands could do, grew rapidly worse until last Saturday when the tiny thread of life was severed and the little spirit winged its way to realms above. The funeral of the baby was held at the home of its grandmother on Monday, Rev. H.N. Spear preaching the sermon and the remains were laid to rest in the Belding cemetery.
