Lake Odessa Wave-Thurs. July 8, 1971

Domingo Silva Passed Away
Domingo Silva, 74, of Roswell N. M., passed away Saturday at the Roswell Medical
Center.
 
He had been a resident of Lake Odessa and Ionia for many years, coming here from
Texas, before moving to New Mexico about five months ago.

Mr. Silva was employed as a janitor at the Ionia High School before moving to New
Mexico.

Surviving are his wife Inez; four daughters, Mrs. Juan (Amelia) Baez of Grand
Rapids, Mrs. Lazardo (Hortenzia) Gallardo of Lake Odessa, Mrs. Reul (Hester) Luna of Charlotte
and Mrs. Nino (Vicki) Escobedo of Roswell, N. M.; 22 grandchildren; two brothers and
three sisters.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Edward's Church,
lake Odessa. Rev. Robert Maternoski officiated, with burial in Lakeside cemetery.

The Rosary was recited at the Pickens Funeral Chapel Monday evening.
