WILLIAM HENRY): THE IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, IONIA, MICHIGAN, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1925, front page: "Prolonged Illness Is Fatal Friday to Mrs. W. H. Silvernail - Mrs. William H. Silvernail, age 5(?) years, died Friday evening at 7:15 at the residence, 533 High street, after an illness lasting many weeks. Though Mrs. Silvernail had been critically ill some hopes for her recovery were held out last week. A change for the worst came several days ago, and she failed rapidly until her death. Mrs. Silvernail was born February 28, 1874. Her maiden name was Miss Lottie LaDue. Besides her husband, Mrs. Silvernail is survived by two daughters, Miss Oneita Silvernail, and Miss Opal Silvernail, both high school students. She also is survived by three brothers, Bert LaDue and Lyle LaDue, of Ionia, and Arthur LaDue, of Detroit. There will be a short service held from the residence Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Rev. Charles J. Kruse will officiate. At 1:30 the funeral service will be at the United Brethren church at Matherton. Burial will take place at the East Plains cemetery." THE IONIA SENTINEL-STANDARD, Wed., Feb. 11, 1925: "Mrs. W. H. Silvernail Funeral Tuesday p.m. - The Methodist Episcopal church at Matherton was filled to its capacity Tuesday afternoon for the funeral service of Mrs. William H. Silvernail, which was held at 1:30. A short prayer service was held at the residence, 533 High street, at 11 o'clock. Rev. Charles J. Kruse conducted the service and the music was furnished by the Matherton Methodist Episcopal choir. Twelve members of the Sunday school class, taught by Mrs. Eldon Willard, and of which the Misses Oneita and Opal Silvernail are members, attended in a body. The girls, assisted by Mrs. Fred Allen, were in charge of the many beautiful flowers. The bearers were Lyle LaDue, Bert LaDue, Frederick Silvernail, Cornelius Silvernail, and Harry Silvernail. Burial took place at the East Plains cemetery."
