Silvernail , 68 years of age, died at his home, 533 High street, at 9 o'clock Thursday evening. His health had been bad for several years, but was taken suddenly worse last Sunday. He was born in Gratiot county, and came to Ionia county, living in Ronald township on a farm for several years before moving to Ionia about 20 years ago. He had been an employee of the Reed Furniture factory for 14 years, working until four years ago. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Benjamin Silvernail, of Matherton; two daughters, Mrs. George Kress, of Ionia, and Miss Anita Silvernail of Lansing; three sisters, Mrs. Lillian Collier, of Lansing; Mrs. Mary Fenn, of Matherton, and Mrs. Susie Labarge of Lakewood, Ohio; two brothers, Frederick, of Battle Creek, and Cornelius, of Detroit, and two granddaughters, Jeanne and Joanne Kress, of Ionia. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon, with Rev. M. W. Duffey officiating. Interment will be at the East Plains' cemetery." Silvernail - Prayer services were held Sunday afternoon at 1:30 at the home, and at 2:30 from the Methodist church at Matherton for William H. Silvernail, whose death occurred Thursday evening at his home on 533 High Street. Rev. M. W. Duffey and Rev. Floyd Drake, Methodist ministers of the Ionia and Matherton churches. Mrs. R. A. Colwell and Mrs. Thane Benedict sang for the service. Bearers were Frank Clark, Kenneth and Richard Fess, Clyde and Rudolph Silvernail, and Elton Guernsey. Interment was at the East Plains cemetery."
