John Silvernail, died at Orange, Sept. 3d, of erysipelas, aged 47 years. Mrs. Silvernail was converted at the age of 15 and united with the M. E. church, but subsequently becoming dissatisfied with her baptism, she was immersed by Rev. L. P. Tomkins and united with the Adrian F. B. church. She was married to Rev. John Silvernail Jan. 1, 1855, and until her death was in every sense a helpmeet. She was a woman of rare powers. To know her was to love her, and there went out from her life, wherever she went, a pure sweet influence. She arranged everything for her funeral even to the minutest details, and then expressed herself as ready for the Master’s summons. She leaves a husband and four daughters. By her request the funeral services were conducted by E. O. Dickinson, pastor of the Greenville church.
