Lake Odessa Wave, 9 Feb 1939

Mrs. Fred Simkins, 65, a sister of Mrs. Lester Bushnell at Lake Odessa, died in 
the Lakeview hospital on January 20.  She was born in Campbell and lived in that 
township and Clarksville until 1905 when with her husband and their family they 
moved to Remus where she has since lived.  The funeral was held from the late 
home on January 23 and was largely attended.  Mrs. Bushnell and other relatives 
and friends from the Lake Odessa and Clarksville communities attended the 
funeral.  The deceased is survived by the husband and an only son.
