Ionia Daily Sentinel, 18 Aug 1958

Funeral service for Mrs. Nettie Simmons, who died at her home in Berlin 
township Wednesday, was conducted at the LeValley Methodist church Saturday at 
2:30 p.m. by the Rev. J. Lawrence Ward.  Bearers were Arthur Rumbaugh, Kenneth 
Harwood, Miles Bennett, Harold Bennett, Harry Young and Ray Young.  Mrs. Frank 
Stout presided at the organ.  Interment was at Balcom cemetery.

Relatives attending from out of town were Mrs. Agnes Simmons, Muskegon; Mr. and 
Mrs. Gerald Simmons, Grattan; Patricia Hummel, Ann Arbor; Robert Alspaugh and 
Mr. and Mrs. Perry Watkins, Lansing, Cassie and Ilene Latimer, Holt; Mr. and 
Mrs. Clarence Richardson, Grand Ledge; Mrs. Mary Hummel, Lake Odessa; Mr. and 
Mrs. Myron Griswold, Saranac; Mrs. Archie Blakeslee and Winnie May and Robert 
Alspaugh, Grand Rapids; Milo Peterson, Greenville; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Simmons and 
Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Christensen, Sheridan; Bert Watkins, Flint; Lloyd 
Alspaugh, Newnberry and Mrs. Corrine Goodwin, Adrian.
