The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, March 23, 1953

Requiem High Mass was conducted by the Rev. Fr. John S. Fons Monday at SS. 
Peter and Paul church at 9 a.m. for Edward Simmons who died at Traverse City 
Friday, March 20.  Prayer services preceded the church services at the Myers 
funeral home at 8:30 a.m.

D. J. Perrone, Jr., Frank Gazella, John Weatherwax and Herbert Witzel were 
bearers.

Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
