The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, April 13, 1966

Funeral service for Harold E. Simmons, 65, of Berlin township, who died 
unexpectedly Friday morning, was Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at LeValley 
Methodist church.  The Rev. Earle Stine, pastor, officiated and organist was 
Mrs. Frank Stout with Robert Wolverton, soloist.

Bearers were Harold Bennett, Harry Young, Harry Emelander, Kenneth Harwood, 
Verne Warnes, Clarence Rudd.  Burial was at Balcom cemetery.

Friends and relatives attended from Virginia Beach, Va., Muskegon, Grand 
Rapids, Lowell, Saranac, Portland, Clarksville, Lake Odessa, Sunfield, Grand 
Ledge, Charlotte, Lyons, Hubbardston, Nashville, Lansing, Belding, Hastings, 
Mulliken, Greenville and Davison.
