The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, February 5, 1996

Frank Simmons, 86, of Muir, died Feb. 4, 1996.  He was born in Sterling, New 
York, the son of Frank and Lillia (Powely) Simmons.  He moved from Lansing to 
Muir in 1995.  Simmons, an avid golfer and bowler, retired from Fisher Body in 
1969 and was a member of Local 602.

He is survived by his wife Mildred; sister Georgene Vandenhout; sisters-in-
law: Anna Whittington, of Ionia, and Irene Connor of Grand Rapids; brother-in-
law Clarence Hahn, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Hull 
Memorial Chapel in Muir.  Funeral services will also be at the chapel at 2 
p.m. on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all 
contributions be given to the Ionia Area Hospice.
