Portland Observer - Wed. May 16, 1906

Bartholomew Simmons died at his home on north side Monday forenoon, aged 68. 
Deceased moved to the village recently from his farm northeast of town, where 
he had resided several years. Funeral services will be conducted from St. 
Patrick's church Wednesday morning by Rev. Fr. Auer.
