GAIL ANN (SIBLE) SIMMONS "NANNY"
Gail Ann (Sible) Simmons "Nanny," age 65 of Ionia, was led into the arms of 
Jesus on Sunday, March 5, 2017. Gail was a devout member of the First 
Christian Church in Ionia and with Decolores Ministries in Grand Rapids for 
the past 10 years.

She enjoyed camping, sewing crocheting and making baked goods for the church 
functions and being involved in various church functions. Her greatest joy 
was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Betty (Gooding) Sible; 
and a brother, Gordon Sible.

Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Keith; children, Erica (Mark) Rolfe, 
Ryan (Stacie) Simmons and Nicole Simmons; "Nanny" to Austin, Madelynn, 
Natalie and Zachery; siblings, Judy Gloden and Jerry Sible; special sister-
in-law, Marilyn Hotchkiss; in-laws, Carl (Karen) Simmons and Carolyn (Jack) 
Westmoreland; several nieces and nephews.

Religious services will be conducted by Pastor Ethan Tews at 1 p.m. Saturday 
March 11, 2017, at First Christian church, 130 E. Washington St., Ionia. 
Interment will be in Balcom Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-
8 p.m. Friday at the Lehman Funeral Home, 220 Rich St., Ionia. Memorial 
contributions may be made to First christian church, American Cancer Society 
or Ionia Area Hospice in memory of Gail. Online condolences may be made at
