Ionia County News - Thursday, May 14, 1931

Funeral services for Judson A. Simmons, 56, who died Saturday evening following 
two years of failing health, held Tuesday at 2 o'clock from the residence of his 
daughter, Mrs. Evelyn L. Parker, 323 Harter street. Burial in Sheridan cemetery.

For 20 years prior to coming to Ionia last fall to reside with his daughter, Mr. 
Simmons resided on a farm in Easton township. He was born in Oakfield Center, 
Kent county.

Besides Mrs. Parker, he leaves his widow and two other children, Mrs. Lucille 
Montgomery, and Lyle Simmons, all of Ionia, and for sisters, Mrs. Hattie Button, 
of Kalamazoo; Mrs. Jennie Plank, Detroit; Mrs. Mary Whipple, Orleans; and Mrs. 
Emma Sherwood, of Alhambra, Calif.
