Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, 12 Nov 1951

Robert Gordon Simmons, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Simmons, of Ionia 
Route 4 died at his home Monday, November 12, at 7:30 a.m. after being ill for 
some time.  Death came the day after his second birthday.  He was born in Ionia 
November 11, 1949.

Besides the parents, he is survived by four sisters, Gay, Donna, Mary Ann and 
Janet Shirley; two brothers, Larry and Gary; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Clare Baker; and the great-grandmother, Mrs. Mae Hackett.

Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Boynton 
funeral home.
