The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 6, 1922

Pewamo, Feb. 6.—Gregory Simmons, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Simons, 
prominent farmers living a short distance south of Pewamo, died Sunday 
afternoon at Kansas City, Mo., according to word received by his family here.  
He was there attending an automobile school.  He was ill ten days with 
pneumonia.  The funeral will probably be held Tuesday, although definite 
announcements have not been made.
