The Portland Review, Monday, May 31, 1982

Mr. Florian C. Simon of Rt. 1, Pewamo, died Friday, May 21 at a Lansing 
hospital.  He was 72.  Mr. Simon was born in Westphalia on March 21, 1910 to 
Bernard Simon and Mary Bengal.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two sons, Kenneth of Lansing and Bernard 
of Westphalia; three daughters, (Mrs. Harold) Mary Lou Schmitt of Westphalia, 
Mrs. Ruth Geller of East Lansing, (Mrs. Eldred) Diane Stump of Wacousta; a 
brother, Ted B. Simon of East Lansing; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Platte of 
Westphalia and Mrs. May Rose Armbrustmacher of Fowler; and 11 grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, May 24 at 10:30 at St. Mary’s Church at 
Westphalia.  Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery.  Pall bearers were: Joseph 
Simon, Ronald Simon, Larry Simon, Eugene Schafer, James Nurenberg, and LeRoy 
Nurenberg.
