Hastings Reminder - Aug. 13, 2011


John P. Simon, age 44, of Lake Odessa, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 
his residence.

He was born October 24, 1966 in Hastings, the son of Francis and Jeanette 
(Carey) Simon.

John graduated from Lakewood High School in 1985 and was married to Teresa Rose 
on September 17, 1988.

He was employed as a project manager by AMI in Portland.

John enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycling, cutting wood, spending time at 
Silver Lake Sand Dunes and the Detroit Tigers.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Mike Ayers.

Surviving is his wife, Teresa; sons, Zack, Jordan and Gabe; parents, Francis 
and Jeanette Simon; brother, Tom Simon; sister, Jeanne Ayers; mother-in-law, 
Sandy Rose; brother-in-law, Rob Rose; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews 
and cousins.

Funeral services for John were conducted on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 
Lakewood United Methodist Church, 10265 E. Brown Rd., Lake Odessa. Interment 
followed at Woodland Memorial Park.
