Oct. 31, 2009 Pamela J. (Hansen) Simon, 53, of Stanton, lost her battle with cancer and passed away with her family at her side on Oct. 30, 2009 in Ionia. Pam was born on Sept. 8, 1956 in Sheridan to Floyd and Donna (O’berry) Roberts. One Dec. 27, 2002 she married James Simon in Stanton. She worked as a Nurses’ Aide at Metron of Belding where she never failed to entertain the patients and staff. She liked to cook, bake and read. Pam was always funny and made everyone laugh. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. Pam is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Ben (Jessica) Hansen of Virginia Beach, Va., Missy Miller of Edmore and Kelsey Stewart of Stanton; her mother, Donna Roberts of Orleans; stepchildren, Emily (Jason) Nikolauk of Macomb, Lisa Hayward Simon of Pontiac and Sarah (Tim) Andrews of Middleville; grandchildren, Dylan Hansen, Ben Miller, Tyler Painter, Derrick Hayward, Hailey, Celeste and Tristan Andrews; her sisters and brothers, Jackie (Don) Hagan of Fenwick, Julie (Brian) Baragrey of Belding, Nancy McClintock (Pat Marlette) of Greenville, Jim and Jerry Roberts both of Belding; and very special friend, Connie Allen. Pam was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Roberts, sister, Jane Spear, and former fiancé, Randy Stewart. Pam’s family will greet friends on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Barden Funeral Home in Stanton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home with Rev. Kelly Munger of the New Hope Church of God in Belding officiating. Burial will take place in Evergreen Cemetery. For those desiring to do so, memorial contributions may be made to the family, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
