SIMON Elizabeth A. Simon, 86, of Westphalia died May 7, 1994. Mrs. Simon was born in Pewamo Feb. 24,1908, the daughter of Louis and Mary (Schmitt) Cook. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers association. She is survived by five daughters, Mary Elizabeth (Mark) Koenigsknecht of Fowler, Monica (Edgar) Schneider of Lansing, Genevieve (Joseph) Pung of Fowler, Joann (Donald) Feldpausch of Fowler, and Doris (William) Barker of Pewamo; one son Julius M. Simon of Fowler; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one sister, Romilda Wieber of Westphalia; two sister-in-law, Pauline Steadley of Sun City, Ariz., and Mabel Cook of Pewamo; and one brother-in-law, Robert (Vera) Spitzley of Pewamo. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated May 10 at St.Mary's Catholic church in Westphalia, with the Rev. James Novak officiating. Interment followed in St.Mary's cemetery, Westphalia, Her grandsons served as casket bearers. Arrangement were made by the Gorsline-Runciman Neller Chapel in Portland.
